Believe it or not, there are a number of snakes in this photo – but only the most eagle-eyed among us will be able to spot them all.
Snakes are exceptionally good at camouflaging themselves, so you’ll need to focus your eyes for a few seconds to pinpoint exactly where they all are.
The image has gone viral on Reddit, with users of the site claiming that due to their “poor eyesight,” they wouldn’t see the copperhead snakes “before it’s too late.”
Can you see all the snakes in this picture?
Social media users on Reddit were shocked that it took them a while to see the four reptiles. How long will it take?
The image was shared by Redditor @alanboston and has received over 50,000 votes and over 1,500 comments.
He captioned the image: ‘Those are copperhead snakes; if you’re out for a walk and come across a nest, stop and back up.”
Once your eyes get used to the background, you’ll be able to spot these creatures in no time.
And while you think it’s impossible to find them, it’s important to you use the time you have to wisely scan the tree and its surroundings.
Don’t focus too much on one spot or area, as we all know that predators like snakes like to spread out to catch their prey.
Copperhead snakes are venomous, but deaths from one of their bites are very rare.
And these copperhead snakes are no different. They feed on baby cottontails, swamp rabbits, rats, mice, birds, snakes, lizards, baby turtles, frogs, toads and insects, especially grasshoppers and crickets.
If you get stuck, we’ll give you a few hints.
Found in the southern and eastern United States, these large snakes have bodies ranging from tan to copper to gray, with characteristic hourglass-shaped stripes.
The first snake is quite easy to spot and is in one of the corners of the photo.
While the other three are definitely more hidden, knowing what one looks like will help you find the rest.
But if the 10 seconds are up now and you haven’t found any or only a few, we’ll put you out of your misery.
The easiest snake can be found in the lower right corner of the image, slithering across a leaf.
Three of the others are much harder to spot, but once we reveal where they are, you’ll be shaking your head.
One of these works its way up the tree trunk and can be seen in the middle of the tree.
Another is between the neck and the base of the tree, again in the middle.
While the third can be seen at the very bottom of the tree, towards the end of the image.

One person wrote, “Wow my poor eyesight would never see that one before it’s too late lol.”
And another Redditor added, “Or maybe you can just tell us where you are and we’ll just never get there?”
While a third commented: ‘Copperhead snakes are the king/queens of camouflage. I grew up in Georgia and I still get surprised by one or two a year. Some look like a new penny and some look perfect like the leaves around it.”
Another comment: “Their camouflage is scary good, I hate snakes, why am I here ahhh.”
Another jokingly said, “Another reason not to go out, thanks!”
Copperhead snakes are some of the most common North American snakes. They are also the most prone to bite, although their venom is relatively mild.
And their bites are rarely fatal to humans.
