WhatsApp will soon bring redesigned keyboard with emoji bar: here’s what it means

Date:

WhatsApp is said to be working on a new feature that should improve user experience. A new report has revealed that the popular messaging app is working on a redesigned keyboard with an emoji category bar.

WABetaInfo, the website that tracks WhatsApp build changes, has revealed that Meta’s platform is developing a redesigned keyboard with the emoji category bar. The report adds that the emoji category bar allows users to easily access different categories of emojis. This emoji category bar will now become part of the redesigned keyboard that the company will roll out with future updates.

This feature moves the tabs that provide easy access to other keyboard functions (including GIF and sticker selection) to the top. In addition, there are some plans regarding the chat bar: the attachment sharing buttons and the emoji keyboard button will be moved to match the style of WhatsApp desktop and WhatsApp for iOS.

The redesigned keyboard is in development and will be released in a future update to the app.

WhatsApp has rolled out the security center worldwide
WhatsApp has a global Security Center to cater to its user base. This comprehensive platform provides valuable resources and insights into security measures and product functionality, helping users protect themselves from unwanted contacts and spam messages. The Security Center will be accessible in English and ten Indian languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

By introducing the Security Center, WhatsApp aims to educate users about the range of privacy settings available in the app, helping them know how to exercise more control over their accounts. This informative hub includes several features, including two-step verification, scam protection, and enhanced group controls.

The creation of the Security Center follows reports of users experiencing spam calls from unknown foreign numbers.
