WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow you to share original quality photos and videos. how did you see it WABetaInfothe app now includes an option to “select original quality photos or videos” in version 2.23.18.12 of the WhatsApp for Android beta.
However, the application will treat the images and videos as documents. A screenshot taken by WABetaInfo shows a new option to “pick from gallery” in the app’s document picker, specifically mentioning the ability to send original-quality photos and videos.
While WhatsApp began rolling out the ability to send “HD” images via a new in-app switch earlier this month, it still compresses images before sending them. The same goes for sending videos up to 720p in the app, which became widely available last week. But being able to send original-quality photos and videos is a welcome change, as it should finally allow Android and iOS users to easily share media at its full resolution.
