WhatsApp made headlines this week after users noticed a subtle change within the app.

‘Online’ and ‘Typing’ (words displayed under the other user’s name in their chats) had changed from having lowercase first letters to a capital ‘O’ and a capital ‘T’.

While this sounds pretty minor, many users were unhappy with this, with one stating that it “hurt my soul.”

If you were bothered by the capital letters, there is good news: WhatsApp has confirmed that it is reversing the change.

“This was just a small test, but it is now returning to normal,” a spokesperson said.
