Mud and Magic Mike star Matthew McConaughey’s recent public appearance has shocked fans who claim his appearance has “changed.”
This week, fans took to social media to say the 54-year-old actor looked “different” when he appeared with his wife Camila Alves, 41, at a gala dinner last week.
Some speculated that her nose has a different shape and that her eyes have changed color.

But a plastic surgeon has suggested the Texas-born actor’s gaunt features are simply due to weight loss.

But cosmetic doctors have a more logical explanation for his change in appearance than the fact that the actor is a “double.”
Mister Reza NassabA consultant in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in Manchester and Cheshire, he suggests that rather than undergoing plastic surgery to alter her face, she simply lost some weight.
“Personally, I don’t think Matthew McConaughey has had rhinoplasty. I think the change in the size and shape of his nose could be attributed to weight loss, especially in his face,” she told MailOnline.
He explained that McConaughey’s gaunt cheeks and supposed change in nose shape could be a result of fat loss.
“When someone loses significant weight, the reduction in facial fat can make their features appear more defined and prominent, including the nose,” she added.
‘This natural change in appearance due to weight loss can often lead people to assume that they have had cosmetic procedures done, but in this case, the change in her face could easily be due to her weight loss.’
This is not the first time McConaughey has radically changed his appearance.
After growing tired of starring only in romantic comedies, McConaughey claimed he took a two-year break from Hollywood between 2010 and 2012 and almost quit the industry.
But he returned for his role as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club in 2014, where he lost 30 pounds for the Oscar-nominated film.
The actor, who goes to great lengths to prepare for each role, admitted to the Radio Times that he survived on a diet of Diet Coke, egg whites and a piece of chicken a day to slim down to just 42kg.
The weight loss made her cheeks look sunken, but she soon gained the weight back.
He reprised his role as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club in 2014, where he lost 26 pounds for the Oscar-nominated film.
The actor also starred in True Detective, alongside his close friend, Woody Harrelson.
Although the actor has never said he takes Ozempic, some fans have suggested his change in appearance could be a result of the weight loss injection.
