Teddi Mellencamp and her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave appeared in love at a charity gala just days before she announced her divorce on Saturday.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, who appeared to still be wearing her wedding ring despite the shocking news, attended the Melanoma Research Foundation gala on October 24 with her partner of 13 years, where they were seen packing the PDA.
In one of the photos from the event that Edwin posted on Instagram, the couple was captured sharing sweet kisses, while in another, he romantically immersed her in his arms.
Edwin took the opportunity to celebrate Teddi in his caption, praising her for her brave journey with skin cancer, a topic he also addressed at the event.
‘His story has already saved lives. And I couldn’t be more proud that she continues to save more,” he wrote. “I love you, Teds.”

The couple married in 2011 and share three children: son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, four.
Upon marrying, the star, who has spoken openly about her battle with skin cancer, also became stepmother to Edwin’s daughter Isabella, 15, from a previous relationship.
On Saturday, Teddi took to her main Instagram page and wrote to her fans and followers: “After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.”
“My priority is my children and ensuring that every possible care is taken with their privacy and well-being throughout this new chapter.”
Teddi added: “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt that being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
Just a week before the divorce announcement, Edwin posted a heartfelt tribute to Teddi after they attended the Cure Melanoma gala together.
Teddi, who recently battled the disease, hosted the event at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York City.
“I always say that life and pain are inseparable,” he had written in the caption at the time.

“And seeing @teddimellencamp embrace her pain and use it for the greater good again last night while emceeing the @curemelanoma gala, was a beautiful reminder of what she’s capable of,” she wrote.
‘His story has already saved lives. And I couldn’t be prouder that she continues to save more. I love you, Teds,” Edwin continued, adding with a laughing-crying emoji, “(So much so that I missed the Rams game to be there).”
The accompanying photo album included a romantic snapshot of Teddi and Edwin kissing, offering no hint of the future split.
Teddi, daughter of legendary rocker John Mellencamp, met Edwin at a Los Angeles nightclub in 2009 and married him two years later.
They then welcomed son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, four, together.
When Teddi joined The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills in 2017, she and Edwin had reached a critical point in their marriage and were on the verge of separating.
During her “first day” of filming, Teddi thought to herself, “Damn, at what point do I tell everyone I’m getting divorced?”

She recalled, “We’re in our absolute worst phase, because honestly, for us, it was really a power struggle,” on her Two Ts In A Pod podcast, which she hosts alongside Orange County Housewife , Tamra Judge.
‘We were always equal when we were together. He rode horses, he was competitive and he was all those things,” Teddi recalled.
‘So I couldn’t get pregnant naturally, I did all this IVF. Then suddenly he was in charge of our finances and I had never been in charge. I never stopped having my own money, I had been working since I was 17 years old. Then I started hating him.’
She and Edwin were eventually able to patch up their differences and she enjoyed a three-season run as a full-time Real Housewife Of Beverly Hills.
Although Teddi lost her spot on the main cast in 2020, she has since guest-starred on the show several times as a ‘friend’ of the Housewives.
In July 2023, she published a candid post on Instagram about the occasional tensions in her marriage and the way she and Edwin addressed them.
‘When was the last time you really told your partner exactly what you want and need?’ she wrote.
‘Many times I don’t and then I let things build up and rot. I mean, don’t our people read minds? Can’t you tell what my heavy, annoying breathing means? The answer is no.’
They then welcomed son Cruz, 10, and daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, four, together. Teddi is also stepmother to Edwin’s daughter Isabella, 15, from a previous relationship.
‘Yesterday for my birthday I tried to be 100 percent direct with @tedwinator and guess what, it worked like a charm. I told him: You can work until 11 am while I take the kids riding. “After we get back, I want a date with my favorite things,” she further wrote.
The date would consist of: ‘Lunch. Walk around BH people watching. A couples treatment at my favorite spa, an early dinner and then a romantic moment and an early night.’
“I asked him if he could put his phone down, because when he texts, even though I know it works, it hurts my feelings.”
The experience was, for her, “an excellent reminder that we have to clearly explain what we both want and need in this marriage.” I woke up with tears in my eyes, so grateful for all the laughter, important conversations, and silly things we talked about.
She summed up her title by explaining, “Marriage isn’t easy and we all have ups and downs, but if we are vulnerable and open up, it can lead to one of the best days we’ve had in a long time.”
A few months later, Teddi also shared a ‘thank you post’ towards her husband, praising the way he looked after her during her battle with skin cancer.
She recounted a recent experience during which the cost of my immunotherapy treatment reached new levels,” leaving her in tears as “extreme inside-out pain, sores, vomiting, and sadness took over me.”

Teddi fondly recalled: ‘Edwin could have tried to give me a quick fix or tell me I’m fine or give me a pep talk. Instead, she comforted me, tied up my hair, and showed me love and compassion.”
She reflected: “Very often we want to be strong for our partner, pretending to be superhuman for the sake of appearance or for fear of being seen as weak.”
“But last night I felt a force from Edwin radiating through both of us, and it’s something I still feel as I write this.”
Arroyave has yet to make a public statement about his divorce.
