Single British women share the things men do and say on dates that immediately turn them off.

From complaining about their exes to littering, bragging, and even mentioning sex early in the conversation, the list of mistakes that guarantee they won’t get a second date is endless.

Women said they are instantly disgusted by men who have dirty fingernails, chew with their mouths open or openly support controversial figures like Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan.

“British women, what makes you instantly lose interest in a man?” someone asked on Reddit. mail.

‘So, you’ve struck up a conversation with a guy, he’s attractive and you like his looks, but he reveals something that makes you recoil in horror, feel uncomfortable, or lose interest. What was it?’

The question generated hundreds of responses from single women looking for love and one of them admitted that she has no patience for bad drivers.

“Especially if they think they’re incredibly skilled because they’re spinning out of control on corners, grinding gears, cutting people off, refusing to yield, and constantly slamming on the brakes for no reason on a straight 60-mph road when they’re only going 45 mph. That to me is a total turn-off. A huge nuisance,” he said.

Many women said they felt discouraged when a man tried to impress them with superficial things.

“He brags about how smart, rich or attractive he is,” one woman replied, and another added, “(My date) mentioned his father’s incredibly successful real estate business.”

“I hate show-offs, braggarts and men who think having money makes them important or impressive. As for work, if they worked in finance or something similar or are a chef, I wouldn’t take them on,” added a third.

Single women didn’t want to hear about Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, Jordan Petersen or Elon Musk because of their divisive stances on women and women’s issues.

“I literally stopped seeing a guy because of this… now I use Andrew Tate as an indicator of whether the conversation will continue or not,” someone replied.

“I went on a date… The first thing he did was make fun of my religion and then he spoke without irony about how women belong in the kitchen and how that’s what God would want. Yeah, he left as soon as possible,” another woman recalled.

Smoking, being rude to waiters, littering, spitting, having a bad temper and even wearing a tracksuit were enough to send some women running from a date.

“I don’t find big muscles attractive, so I’ll leave that to a woman who does find them attractive, because there are plenty of women who do,” one user responded.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE ‘THE DISGUST’?

“The ick” is a term that became popular on TikTok and Instagram to describe that feeling when attraction turns into a sudden, embarrassing dislike of another person, often in a budding romance.

Some common examples of disgust triggers include poor hygiene, arrogance and rudeness, but many have reported seemingly innocuous things such as walking with a stride, sleeping on navy blue sheets or even shortening breakfast to “brekkie”.

A second commented: ‘I was asked if I know who the band on my shirt is.’

“Littering. If he likes littering, I’ll gladly do it too,” added a third.

“Poor hygiene, like bad breath or dirty nails,” one woman responded.

Some women said they were bothered by men bringing up the topic of sex too quickly, whether while chatting on a dating app or during a date.

‘You tried to be sexual almost immediately. I met you an hour ago, stop it,’ someone said.

“It’s even worse when you try to steer the conversation away from that topic and even tell them outright that you’re not comfortable talking about sex and somehow they still don’t get the message. It’s the end of the conversation,” another person explained.

Talking about an ex-girlfriend is totally unacceptable for many women, especially when a man speaks about his ex-partner in a negative way.

Also on the “red flag list” was when a man judges the strangers around him.

“Nasty comments about my appearance or that of anyone else around me usually indicate a mean-spirited personality,” one user explained.

“Comparing me to other women… Things like ‘I like that you don’t wear a lot of makeup unlike other women,’ or basically any compliment that puts other people down in the process,” wrote another.

“If they can’t compliment me without putting down other women, that’s a huge bummer and it’ll make me think the guy has weird issues with women in general.”

Women also looked down on men who were immature and needy or who did not like animals.

“Negging” was another common habit that men sometimes displayed on dates and that turned women off.

The practice involves giving someone a backhanded compliment and was popularized by pickup artists on YouTube.

Other responses included saying they were “not political” on their dating profile, as well as constantly interrupting someone who was speaking, wearing too much cologne, talking too much about work, and referring to women as “women.”
