- A NSW sire won the $1 million Lotto prize
- He lost his ticket for a moment
An Australian father had lost his $1 million Lotto ticket and left his entire family looking for it after realizing he had won.
The Dubbo West native had one of four first division winning entries in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4264 on Monday.
“Would you believe I lost the ticket at first,” the Dubbo West man told an official from The Lott on Tuesday morning.
“I had everyone look for it. As it turned out, it was in my wallet all the time!
‘I can not believe it! I share this victory with my children and go on a trip with my partner!
‘I’ve been playing for several years and the most I’ve won is $1,000! ‘Thank you so much.’

The winning entry was purchased from the Dubbo West Post Office.
Owner Lea Callan said they were delighted to have sold their first division winning entry.
‘We couldn’t believe it! We thought the news was a bogus email,” he said.
‘Our team and our customers are so excited.’
Winners who have lost their lucky ticket can still claim their prize, even if they are not a registered player.
The Lott recommends that customers fill out the lost and damaged ticket form if they believe they have won a lost ticket.
