For fans of BBC One’s detective reality show Traitors, it’s already been five long days since the last episode aired on Friday night.
And the anticipation for tonight’s show is even more fervent thanks to the sneak peek of a new superpower for one of the contestants who made it to the final week.
With just three episodes left until Friday night’s crescendo, the show has mixed things up this year, with the apparent introduction of The Seer, a character drawn from Werewolf, the cult card game on which the show is loosely based. program.
The show’s new twist was revealed by host Claudia Winkleman in the final moments of the final episode, when she told those gathered at the roundtable: “Someone will gain an extraordinary power that could change the entire game.”
A camera also panned to glimpse the spine of a book, which read ‘The Seer’, which seems to confirm what the superpower is.
The Werewolf card game has been gaining fans for decades, requiring both strategic thinking and impressive acting skills, and has been dubbed the “party game for devious people.”
It pits a small informed group called the “wolves” against the uninformed majority known as the “villagers.” Each group tries to trick the other to win.
In the game, The Seer can secretly guess the Wolfman’s true identity and can then help “the Villagers”, the equivalent of “the Faithful”.
In the final stretch, but could The Seer undo the traitors? An unexpected twist will stand in the way of Charlotte (pictured) and co-traitor Minah’s path to the projected £120,000 prize.

Tonight’s episode sees the traitors. Charlotte Berman, English but speaking with a Welsh accent to try to gain trust, and Minah Shannon will inch closer to the prize fund, which could rise to £120,000 in the final episode.
A source said: “Assigning a Faithful as The Seer could mean ripping power out of Charlotte and Minah’s hands and turning the entire game on its head.”
“If a player manages to secretly confirm the identity of a traitor, that would make the difference in the final round table.
“All will be revealed, but installing The Seer would be a surprising twist.”
