A man has been charged with allegedly stabbing two security guards and injuring a third at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital.
Police were called to the hospital, in the west of the city, at around 11.30pm on Friday after receiving reports that a 39-year-old man had assaulted three guards, aged 24, 25 and 31.
The 24-year-old suffered stab wounds to his wrist, while the 25-year-old suffered lacerations to his neck.
The 31-year-old security guard suffered a dislocated shoulder, while a 29-year-old member of hospital staff also suffered minor injuries.

All four are understood to be recovering and in stable condition.
It is understood the suspected knife was a patient at the hospital and was under police guard before being taken to Parramatta police station.
On Saturday afternoon he was charged with five offences, including two counts of assault on a frontline healthcare worker (actual bodily harm, assault on a frontline healthcare worker), no actual bodily harm, common assault and use of offensive weapons. , etc., to avoid legal detention.
The 39-year-old was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
