Police say a “resolution has been reached” after reports a four-year-old girl was snatched from her mother at a busy Westfield shopping centre.
Officials said early Monday An unknown woman approached the girl inside a store at Westfield Eastgardens in Sydney at around 6.25pm, then picked her up and took her to a second store.
The girl’s mother recovered her daughter after finding her at the second store, police said.
On Monday night, police said officers had spoken to a 16-year-old girl about the incident.
Police now believe that no crime was committed and that no further police action is necessary.
