The incident occurred around 2.30am, when a hail of bullets were fired at the store, located inside the Westfield shopping centre.

Officers responding to the scene discovered several bullet holes in the front window of the store.

Shots were also fired at the nearby train station.

No injuries were reported as the barbershop was unoccupied at the time of the attack.

Police located and arrested two men in nearby Rooty Hill after they crashed their getaway car into a parked vehicle.

Bullet casings could be seen on the ground this morning as forensic officers examined the scene.
