An 11-year-old Philadelphia boy has become an online sensation after a video of him playing soccer went viral.
Nyeem Powell towers over his teammates — and even his coach — on the West Philly Panthers youth team.
It’s not clear what caused Nyeem’s growth spurt, but he seems to have a bright future in football thanks to his unusual size and skills and the images of him playing have already racked up nearly 40,000 likes and two million views.

Social media users were stunned to learn that the boy, who has the body of an adult, is only 11 years old
He is usually number 40 and plays both defensively and offensively.
The clip shows Nyeem tackling other players again and again to prevent them from getting the ball.
YouTube users agreed that a bright future awaits for Nyeeem, who at his young age seems focused on becoming the best player he can be.
“He has a good future if he continues to work on his skills, learn new skills and develop everywhere. He needs a good coach,” says one user.
“I’m 37 and if I ever see that kid on the field I’ll run the other way,” said another.
Some remained incredulous that Nyeem was only 11 years old.

Many noted that Nyeem, who plays for the West Philly Panthers, has the appearance of an adult, and said he could probably block more than one player at a time.
His confidence translates to the field. Most didn’t stand a chance in the game once Nyeem crossed their path.
Nyeem has at least three more years in the West Philly Panthers, playing soccer teams for ages 5-14.
The West Philly Phanters is a non-profit organization that has provided a variety of sports activities in Philadelphia since the 1990s.
In the commentary section of the video, Nyeem was encouraged to continue playing the sport, as many hoped to see him play in the NFL someday.
