Jarrod Bowen has revealed the touching way in which he will celebrate reaching 20 goals for West Ham this season – and it involves his former club Hereford FC.

The England international has been in good form for the Irons this season and has 20 goals in all competitions, 16 of them in the Premier League.

His meteoric rise has been one of England’s feel-good stories, having come through the academy at youth club Hereford before moving to Hull City in 2014.

From there, Bowen showed his class in the Championship and earned a move to the Premier League at West Ham, where he has continued to impress.

After scoring his 20th goal of the season, Bowen has revealed that he will pay tribute to his roots as he celebrates the milestone.

leading to xEarlier on Twitter, user Rob Pritchard revealed that he asked the former Hereford player about his plans to celebrate 20 goals this season.

Bowen replied: “I’m going to go home and play as Hereford in Championship Manager 2008!”

The West Ham winger, who has amassed a small fortune as the Irons’ main man, then revealed he had secured a deal with the game.

‘I bought it for 50p and I’m going to load it on my computer!’ he said.

This left some fans confused, with one asking: ‘What computer do you have?’ Most new ones don’t have a CD/DVD drive!’

The striker most likely picked up his copy on Steam, although it’s currently priced at £3.99, so you’d have to pay a little more than the West Ham star if you want to follow in his footsteps.

Bowen will start in League Two as he dates back to 2008 with his former team.

He will hope to replicate his achievement in real life when he takes over from Graham Turner in the season they won promotion to League One.

Just two years after their return to the Football League, they achieved third place and promotion to League One.

He will be able to rely on Theo Robinson, who scored 13 league goals that season, while Robbie Threlfall was on loan from Liverpool that same season.

Unfortunately for Bowen, he won’t be in the game when he’s 12, but he could look to be added as a regenerator if he wanted to lead his team to glory.
