West Coast Eagles star Reuben Ginbey has been charged by police after he was allegedly caught urinating in public at a music event over the weekend.

The Eagles published a statement on their club website also adding that the 20-year-old defender allegedly failed to comply with police instructions.

“The West Coast Eagles report that AFL player Reuben Ginbey has been charged after urinating in public at a music event on Saturday night and failing to comply with WA Police instructions by not giving his personal details” , reads the statement.

Ginbey, who was drafted by the East Perth Eagles in the 2022 national draft, is now due to appear in court later this month over the matter.

West Coast Eagles star Reuben Ginbey has been charged by police after he was allegedly caught urinating in public.

The Eagles added: “The Club has informed the AFL and, as the matter is now before the courts, will not be making any further comment at this time.”

According Perth nowGinbey had been seen training with several of his teammates at Mineral Resources Park on Monday.

Ginbey has played 40 AFL games for the club since his arrival.
