Wendy’s revealed their full menu before opening their first branch in Reading this week.

The American burger chain, famous for its square patties, has four exclusive items on the UK menu: – the Veggie Stack, Veggie Bites, Avocado Veggie Salad and Chicken Nuggets made from real chicken fillets.

While U.S. stores sell chicken nuggets, they are made from a mix of brisket and rib meat with water, sodium phosphates, and salt.

Signature items that fans know from the US are also featured, including the Baconator®, Dave’s Single ™, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Frosty® dessert in chocolate and vanilla.

Customers in the Reading store will find a wide variety on the menu, from fresh British beef burgers, real chicken breast sandwiches with whole brisket and salads made fresh every day – such as the Chicken Caesar or Apple Cranberry – and savory side dishes, including baked potatoes , baconator fries and Wendy’s famous Chili con Carne.

Wendy’s opens its first branch in the UK on Wednesday, 21 years after the popular American fast food chain closed all its doors off its British shores.

The American restaurant, known for its spicy nuggets and square burgers, will open two branches in the next five months, one in Reading and a second in Oxford.

London locations are also being explored by Wendy’s, who are looking for franchise owners for their stores.

The burger chain, which is the third largest in the world after McDonald’s and Burger King, has not revealed how many locations it will open or how many jobs the expansion will create in the UK.

Currently there are 6,700 Wendy’s in 30 countries.

This isn’t a debut for the fast food joint, which is known for their viral marketing stunts and Twitter campaigns.

The brand first opened stores in the UK in the 1980s, but closed them all in 1999.

But the last two decades have seen tremendous success for US fast food chains in the UK.

American fast food brand Popeyes will open its first restaurant in the UK this year, while Wendy’s, known for spicy nuggets and square burgers, said they will open two stores in the UK in the next five months.

First opened in the UK in 2013, Five Guys now has 95 restaurants with three more to open this year.

Shake Shack also opened its first restaurant in London in 2013 and now has 19 locations in the UK.

More recently, Taco Bell has taken a successful trip across the pond, while Chick-fil-A opened in Reading in 2019, but closed after a falling out over the parent company that funds anti-LGBT organizations.
