Wendy Williams’ financial advisor claims she’s a ‘prisoner in her own home’

Lori Schiller, financial adviser to Wendy Williams, claims she had to hire armed security to protect herself and her family after receiving death threats.

The financial advisor told Page six she’s a “prisoner in her own home” after Wendy slapped her in public and called her a “disgruntled” ex-employee in February.

Lori told the outlet that she was not fired and is still an advisor to Wendy on her behalf.

“I have armed police officers outside my house 24 hours a day to check on anyone who comes to my front door,” Lori told Page Six.

“It’s starting to affect my life. I’m a prisoner in my own home” and that continuing to work for Wendy’s account has “put her and her family at risk” because of the death threats.

“I kind of live in my own personal hell here,” she said.

Lori claims she was not discharged from the account and is the lead financial advisor to Wendy; There is a guardian in place who serves as a conduit between the host and the bank.

News: The financial advisor told Page Six she is a “prisoner in her own home” after Wendy slapped her in public and called her a “disgruntled former employee” in February.

She says she has had ‘all positive’ conversations with Wendy, and has been ‘close’ for 12 years.

In February, Wells Fargo froze her accounts after Lori claimed Wendy was “unhealthy,” something Wendy publicly denied, per Page Six.

Wendy filed an affidavit with the New York Supreme Court in February for a restraining order against the bank after she denied her request to access her bank accounts; the bank claimed she needed custody.

In February, the talk show host publicly claimed she fired Lori, which Lori now disputes, saying she was not fired.

“All I did was follow the law to the bone, and I’ve been commended by Wells Fargo for all my efforts. I’ve given them ample time and come to my defense and make a statement and for some reason they push it aside.’

Lori’s attorney Anthony Mango also clarified at the outlet that Wells Fargo was seeking custody and not his client.

On Thursday, Wendy gave fans another tease of her upcoming podcast in a photo slideshow shared on Instagram.

Williams has been promoting “The Wendy Experience” since July, but her latest post suggests the first episode has finally been shot.

A source said at the time Page six that Williams’ substance problems were “exacerbated” when “she moved away from” [drinking] wine to pure vodka.’

Williams has struggled to control her drinking at the expense of her overall health, which has been described as ‘failing’ by one source.

They added: ‘She can’t stop drinking and she has to stop drinking; it only makes her health worse.’

Sources told Page six that the production company for its one-off series, Debmar-Mercury, “refused” to help in the effort to get Williams help amid her troubles. The source said, “They turned their backs on her” and “had too much control over someone so vulnerable.”

Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter, 50, told the outlet last July that “Debmar would not support Wendy’s recovery efforts with the family,” because “they would not sign anything that would have helped her recovery efforts.”

Hunter told the outlet about a meeting between company representatives and Williams’ relatives where they discussed her struggles with drinking.

“They were in a meeting with her entire family, including her now-deceased mother, and wouldn’t agree with the recovery efforts that would also have helped Wendy get well and live and sober up,” Hunter said. “They basically said, ‘If you don’t stop drinking, you’ll lose the show.’

An insider told the outlet in August that “it really isn’t right” for Williams, who last month said she was married to an NYPD agent.

“It’s not the same Wendy…she’s gone downhill like crazy and her Florida family is very concerned about her,” a source told Page Six in August.

Issues: Williams has also been at the center of other controversies, as she legally fought financial institution Wells Fargo after being barred from bank accounts she held; Wendy seen in August

Williams has had issues with substance abuse in the past, as she was able to achieve extended sobriety until around late 2018/early 2019, when she took a two-month break from filming to enter a shelter.

She said on her March 2019 show, “Only Kevin knows about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew because I look so glamorous here. After I’m done with my appointments…I’m taken back by my 24 hour sober coach to a house where I live in the [Tri-state area] with a bunch of stinky boys who have become my family.’
