Wendy Williams ‘didn’t talk to anyone’ on show as she continues to pause due to health concerns
Wendy Williams has reportedly cut all direct contact with her talk show staff as her months-long hiatus continues.
The 57-year-old has been off the show due to health issues reportedly related to her long-term battle with the autoimmune disease of Graves’ disease.
“She hasn’t talked to anyone, not producers, not senior producers – nobody,” an insider claimed The sun. “She’s gone and the only contact the production has is through her manager.”

The source added: ‘Her manager is an ex-police officer, so they like him because he can be a policeman to her,’ but claimed: ‘He really has no control over her anyway.’
According to the insider, “She isolates herself from everyone and doesn’t talk to anyone connected to the show.”
She has not appeared on the entire 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show, which began in October after delays after she contracted COVID-19.
Wendy also took a break in May 2020 due to her Graves’ disease, but returned to the program in September.

In October 2020, DJ Boof, who had been working on the show until recently, posted an ominous comment about her on Instagram.
“You have no idea what’s really going on and everyone out there is afraid to speak up because they don’t want to lose their jobs.. this is going to end badly. I feel sorry for the workers and victims,” he wrote in the since deleted comment.
Wendy continued to star on the show last summer during the Season 12 finale — the last episode she filmed on the program.
An insider has now told The Sun what multiple people working on the show would feel: “I don’t think she’ll ever come back to the studio.”

Since October 2021, the talk show has had a series of guest hosts including Sherri Shepherd, Michael Rapaport, Leah Remini and Michelle Visage.
It was announced early last month that Wendy would not be returning at the start of the new year, and a new batch of guest hosts was announced for January.
“Even if she came back, she’d be a cripple because her show won’t be renewed after this season,” one page six said insider.
That month, a source told The sun she was ‘insanely jealous’ as she faced guest hosts ‘and having to sit on the sidelines eats her up, but there’s no way around it. The show must go on and when Sherri plays, the numbers go up.”

Wendy, who also suffers from lymphedema and has been candid about her past addiction problems, was filmed last month leaving a wellness center in Miami.
Arm in arm with a man who was taking her to a car, she assured an interviewer, “Wendy is doing a great job!” posted in a clip by the shadow room.
The previous month, she had released a statement telling her audience, “As everyone knows, my health is a hot topic. I’m making progress, but it’s just one of those things that takes longer than we expected.’
Wendy noted, “I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair once we’re all agreed I’m ready.”
There’s Sherri: Since October 2021, the talk show has had a string of guest hosts, including Sherri Shepherd and Michael Rapaport
A source recently claimed that The sun that she’s “run out of allies, she’s totally unable to keep friends because they say she’s “using” people. She is incredibly rude to people who try to get close to her or try to help her.”
Her son Kevin Jr. allegedly gave her an “ultimatum” that he “will not be in her life unless she recovers herself,” an insider said in the same publication.
Wendy shares her son with husband and former manager Kevin Hunter, who she left after his longtime mistress Sharina Hudson had his baby.
Michael Rapaport, Sherri Shepherd and the duo Finesse Mitchell and Kym Whitley are announced guest hosts for January.

The show recently suffered a setback as Michael had to stop guest hosting after contracting COVID-19.
Sherri had to miss a guest-hosting date last month after emergency surgery for appendicitis, but she was back on the air the next day.
Wendy took a health break earlier in early 2018 and then another break in January and February 2019.
After her return in early March 2019, she emotionally announced in the broadcast that she was staying in a ‘sober house’.

The following month, in April 2019, she filed for divorce from Kevin Sr. and in January 2020, she announced that the split was final.
After her marriage was over, she claimed that Kevin Sr. had falsely locked her up in rehab and that she didn’t really need to be dehydrated.
In an interview with DJ Boof’s successor DJ Suss One last year she said she was “locked up in rehab for something that didn’t require me to be rehabilitated.”

Wendy, who was addicted to cocaine when she was a radio shock jock but quit the drug before she was on TV, claimed that Kevin Sr. “acted like I was going crazy, going crazy, going back to whatever or, you know, on the brink.”
She claimed that rehab was really just “a quiet place to put me,” while Sharina “got bigger and bigger and bigger” as her pregnancy came to an end.
Shortly after she left her husband in 2019, she told in tears: entertainment tonight: ‘I would like to ask you to respect our privacy, but please, I do not respect people’s privacy. That’s why I do the Hot Topics. So turning around is a fair game.’
