A sex and wellness brand has launched a cheeky initiative for people who receive hate gifts from friends and family this festive period.
SKYN has announced that it will send people who receive unwanted gifts, like boring candles or ugly socks, a free X-rated mystery box, filled with raunchy surprise items from its most popular lines.
Promising to offer people the gift of “great sex” instead of mundane gifts that will end up at the back of their closets, disgruntled people can simply send a photo of their unwanted items in exchange for the Christmas box.
The contents of the ‘Gift of Great Sex’ holiday box will be a secret, but the brand says it will include ‘popular and innovative premium products’ from its line of luxury sex toys, condoms and other intimate items.
According to a survey carried out last Christmas, one in six people plan to “resell unwanted Christmas gifts”, and a third of young people also post their disappointing gifts on resale websites.
Nearly three in 10 people aged 18 to 34 plan to sell unwanted Christmas gifts this way, according to British bank Barclays, which carried out the survey.

Meanwhile, Americans returned 14.5 percent of the items they purchased last year, nearly double the number in 2019. An even higher percentage of items purchased for the holidays were returned in 2023.
Returning items became commonplace during the pandemic when everyone was shopping online, but now it will become a “trillion-dollar problem” for retailers.
