A woman who claims that movie producer Harvey Weinstein tried to assault her in a Beverly Hills hotel room, says she escaped only by stabbing his genitals with a broken nail and making him scream in pain.
Hayley Gripp, who works as a certified advocate for children with trauma and special needs, was just 19 at the time of the alleged 2012 attack.
In papers filed Friday at California Superior Court in Los Angeles, Gripp claims she was introduced to Weinstein after meeting a female employee of the now imprisoned producer in a hotel lobby, Page six reports.
The woman suggested Gripp meet her ‘big producer’ friend in one of the hotel rooms, the filing said.
Gripp says she drank half a glass and then “darkened it briefly.” When she came to, she said that Weinstein was rubbing her while pinned to a coffee table.

Upon entering the suite, according to the lawsuit, the producer introduced himself as ‘Dom’. The employee gave her a glass of wine. When Gripp said she wasn’t 21, the employee said to her, “It’s rude not to accept a drink from someone who feeds you and shows you hospitality,” it reports.
Gripp drank half a glass and was then ‘darkened briefly’. When she came to, she said that Weinstein was rubbing her while pinned to a coffee table.
‘You’re so wet and tight; you’re a virgin, aren’t you? Weinstein reportedly said, adding that she “ has to pretend I’m someone like Zac Efron. ”
‘Mrs. Gripp didn’t realize Weinstein’s fingers were in her vagina until she felt the cold metal of his watch against her skin, “the papers said.”
“Weinstein then held Mrs. Gripp in one hand, took Mrs. Gripp’s genital fluids and rubbed his exposed genitals, then began to masturbate with the other hand.”
“To escape his grip, Mrs. Gripp began to swing her arms, breaking her acrylic nail against the coffee table,” court documents said. ‘Mrs. Gripp then stabbed Weinstein in the lower part of his scrotum with her sharp broken nail. ‘
“Weinstein let out a soft scream and took her hand, accidentally moving her nail up and in, deeper into his scrotum,” reads the suit.
Gripp fled the room, but Weinstein’s female assistant was outside. She told Gripp that the meeting was her own fault and that Gripp – who had Tourette’s syndrome – would “end up in a mental institution” if she told anyone what had happened.
Gripp never sued, even at Weinstein’s trial, and is not a recipient of the $ 17 million settlement shared by dozens of his more than 100 prosecutors. At the time, she also did not report the alleged crime to the police.
Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year sentence after being convicted last year of raping an actress and sexually assaulting a former production assistant. Allegations first arose in 2017, dating back to 1970
‘Mrs. Gripp has not reported this crime to the police for the same reason that nearly 80 percent of rapes and assaults go unreported, ” Christa Riggins, Gripp’s second attorney, told The Post.
At this point, Ms. Gripp has no plans to file a criminal charge because Harvey Weinstein has been given a life sentence and is incapable of assaulting another woman. However, Hayley will cooperate fully with the Los Angeles Police Department or other agency regarding any investigation or prosecution of Harvey Weinstein. ‘
Gripp, who is now seeking a jury trial and seeking unspecified damages, was subsequently diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, says her attorney, Eric Lerner.
“This lawsuit is about Mrs. Gripp regaining her power, becoming a survivor, not a victim, and getting restitution for the sex crimes committed against her,” he told The Post.
Prosecutor Lauren Marie Young told the jury that Weinstein’s genitals looked “as if they had been cut and sewn back on and that he has no testicles.”
‘She’s got real damage here that is permanent. Harvey Weinstein and those who helped him commit these crimes of assault and attempted rape of Mrs. Gripp must be held responsible for ruining her life. ‘
The mail says it saw the results of a polygraph Gripp sat in – and passed over – in New York City in March, before the charges were filed.
Mr. Weinstein categorically denies the allegations against him in the complaint that emerged from the woodwork, and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously, ”Imran H. Ansari, a lawyer for the ex-producer, told The Post.
