A Wollongong man trying to buy his first home won $1 million in Wednesday’s Weekday Windfall draw.

The New South Wales resident had one of two division one winning entries nationwide. Each division one winning entry took home $1 million.

When The Lott officials called him with the news, he said, “This is going to change my life completely. Honestly, this is life-changing.”

‘I’m going straight to a house. I’ve been working desperately to get my own place, but it’s been very difficult in the current market.

“I can’t believe it. I’ve been so stressed out about all this, but this takes a lot of pressure off of me.

“I had to tell my parents immediately, they also play the lottery every week. Mom started crying and Dad started asking what the next step was.”

“I’ve been to hell and back these past few years. They know everything, so they’re thrilled with me.

The winning numbers were 7, 12, 43, 8, 32 and 22, while the complementary numbers were 18 and 45.

“I’ve been playing with these same numbers for over 20 years. They’re birthdays and special dates and I’ve always continued to use them because they usually give me a small win,” said the Wollongong man.

Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4435, one in New South Wales and one in Victoria.
