DJ Tonez told Daily Mail Australia he was hired by the bridge and groom, who ‘really love Hi-NRG’.
The genre, ‘high energy’, is uptempo disco or electronic dance music.
‘When I started playing that kind of music, the LED foam sticks came out of nowhere and everyone had one,’ he said.
“After that it was just a party.”
Videos showed wedding guests clapping their light sticks and throwing their arms in the air to the beat.
