Wedding guest slammed for outfit that was ‘too bridal’

A wedding guest was criticized for wearing the dress she wants to wear on her friend’s special day.

The anonymous woman took to Reddit to ask people online if her dress was “too white” for a wedding.

She was met with an avalanche of fury as people criticized her for considering it and accused her of wanting to “stand out”.

In a thread titled ‘Wedding suit approval‘, the guest shared images of her cream-colored dress covered in gold decorations.

She questioned whether it was “appropriate” as social media users called the dress “too bridal.”

The post was titled: ‘Is this dress appropriate for a wedding guest at an outdoor venue? Is this too white?

She then shared two photos of herself posing in the dress.

The high-necked dress featured a high slit and plenty of gold sequins.

It also comes complete with a small cutout in the chest area.

In the comments section he revealed that the invitation did not specify what type of clothing to wear.

She explained: ‘The invitation says nothing except inviting us to a wedding reception at the venue (they are Christians, that’s all I know about their families). Outdoors like in some kind of patio, I think. There is no theme as such.’

Although the guest had not yet worn the dress for the wedding, people on the web were already furious that she was debating about it.

Social media users flocked to the comments and attacked the guest with a fierce reaction.

One person said: ‘I’m afraid you’ll stand out and not in a good way.’ You look great in it, but it doesn’t work for this type of wedding.

Another user added: “Too bridal.”

Someone else commented: ‘It’s too bridal and you’re not the bride.’ Don’t use it.’

“No, too bold, too bridal, too formal,” one person wrote.
