Bruno Fernandes has had an impressive start to his life at Manchester United, but not everyone in the Premier League was happy to see him.

Fernandes has been in good shape since coming out of Sporting Lisbon for £ 68 million for United in January.

But his creative qualities and cheating on the ball have made opposition defenders struggle to cope.

Watford’s Craig Cathcart is no different and he revealed how difficult it was to keep up with Fernandes when the two sides met in February.

United defeated Watford 3-0 at Old Trafford with Fernandes scoring the opener before founding Anthony Martial for the second and Mason Greenwood got the third 15 minutes ahead of time.

When asked about what Cathcart made of Fernandes ‘net worth, the Northern Ireland international told Manchester Evening News:’ I think we were all very impressed.

“What impressed me most was that he always looks ahead.

“He always gets the ball and his first thought is to move forward and create opportunities, and maybe even [United] were previously missing.

“He’s taken that bit of quality and cutting edge to the last third, and since he came in, their performance has been much better, from what I’ve seen.”
