A little girl was playing in her backyard when she was suddenly attacked by a kangaroo – and the shocking attack was captured on CCTV.
The two-year-old girl was just meters from her parents on a rural property in New South Wales on Saturday when a kangaroo jumped at her and kicked her back.
The kangaroo then jumped on the fallen child again and appeared to be ready to attack the child once more before her father ran to her rescue and attempted to throw something at the animal.

The marsupial then swung its tail and jumped to join other kangaroos seen in the distance.
The father quickly grabbed his daughter and ran back to his house with her in his arms, as seen in the images obtained by ViralHog.
“Our two-year-old daughter was attacked by a kangaroo on Saturday in our garden,” the girl’s mother wrote.
‘This juvenile male lunged at her and growled and growled as he attacked.
‘We are very grateful that she had thick clothing and that her father and I were close (less than 5 meters) and were able to end the attack.
In the end he tried to hit him back. God bless her.’
The two-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in the attack and was fortunately left with only bruises and scratches.
The little boy’s father came to the rescue and threw an object at the marsupial.
