EXCLUSIVE

Sky News star Andrew Bolt has revealed what he really said during a harsh attack after a TikTok ‘loser’ harassed him in an antiques shop at the weekend.

The conservative commentator was shopping at the Tyabb Packing House antiques emporium on the Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne, on Saturday when he was confronted by the online activist.

A TikTokker who goes by the name SpaceCorgi boasted online that he started “stalking Andrew Bolt” after unexpectedly seeing the TV presenter in the store.

‘Fun fact: If you see far-right media moguls trying to live a normal life, you can just harass them. As if it wasn’t illegal or anything,” he wrote while posting a series of clips of the strange encounter.

In the videos, which have attracted more than 100,000 views, the man follows Bolt around the antique store and claims he is “scare[ing]the far right again.”

“Let me tell you, I’m delighted to see you here,” the TikTokker told Bolt in one of the clips before mocking the veteran TV host and columnist.

‘Look, Andrew, you don’t feel comfortable here, you don’t feel comfortable anywhere.

‘You live with the ramifications of your actions, which include comments from wonderful citizens of Australia like me!’

Bolt responded that the man was making things uncomfortable for other customers, but the TikTokker mocked him and continued following him around the building.

“Oh, I’m being rude to Andrew Bolt, who cares,” he laughed.

“Hey Andrew, I still think you’re an idiot.”

The Tiktokker claimed Bolt was humiliated and tried to impersonate someone else, with a clip showing Bolt saying it was a case of “mistaken identity”.

“Andrew Bolt will actually pretend not to be Andrew Bolt when he faces criticism,” he said.

He also claimed that Bolt “accuses me of being on drugs” while posting a clip of the TV presenter saying: “You’re a loser who’s on drugs…”

However, Bolt told Daily Mail Australia that the end of the sentence had been cut off in the video and that he had continued speaking after selective editing.

Bolt claims he was mischaracterized in several of the clips and revealed what he actually said to the online activist during the extended encounter.

In fact, the journalist, who remained calm throughout the meeting, said he was actually frustrated because the activist had eliminated all of his best retorts.

“It all started when this man came up to me and said, ‘I hate you,’ and I said, ‘Well, that’s a silly thing to say,’ and I walked away,” Bolt told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.

“Then he started following me and insulting me… which was really strange, I’d never experienced anything like that before.”

“It wasn’t annoying or anything. It just bothers me that he deleted all my best lines!

“I never accused him of being high or drugged, and there were a lot of people around me who listened to what I actually told him.

“What I said was, ‘You’re a loser who gets high with someone you think is famous,’ because he seemed so nervous and his hands and legs were shaking like leaves.”

Bolt also claimed that he had been taken out of context in another of the TikTok clips.

“I haven’t seen the videos, but from what you’re saying, it sounds like he also edited my comment about it being a ‘case of mistaken identity,'” he said.

“What I actually said was, ‘You’ve mistaken me for someone who doesn’t give a shit what you think.’ I can’t believe I got the best of it!”

In the end, Bolt said the man became the butt of his own attempted prank after trying to encourage viewers to help him ridicule the Sky News presenter, only for them to take Bolt’s side.

“What happened in the end was that five of them told him he was being rude and asked him to leave,” Bolt said.

“I didn’t see it, but they told me that he was so focused on filming everything, that he accidentally fell and ended up on his back and everyone laughed at him a little, and that was the end of it.

‘I would like to thank the people who intervened; They didn’t really need to, but it was very kind of them.

‘He was obviously trying to make fun of me, but the people have spoken!’

TikTok viewers also joined the attack on the TikTokker, and many commenting on the clips was “so embarrassing” and “juvenile.”

‘You really think you’re doing something good. No, this is pretty pathetic,” said one user.

Viewers said the TikTokker needed to be better prepared before attempting to take on an experienced TV host like Bolt.

Another commented: ‘Look how everyone there tells you to fuck off! I’m a Labor member and I’d tell you to fuck off too, absolute waste of space!

A third added: “You need to be a little more clever with your attacks.” Be prepared for Bolt’s rebuttals.

The TikToker mocked the “gang of thugs” who took Bolt’s side during the encounter, accusing the store’s customers of “attacking” him.

“So here’s the exciting conclusion to the story, no one calls the police, Andrew Bolt begs me not to tell everyone who he is and then bravely runs away when the lollipop guild knocks me to the ground,” he wrote .

Bolt revealed that he had been in the store looking for a box of antique glasses at the time of the incident and ended up purchasing a case for his reading glasses in the store.

“I was going to go out and not buy anything,” the TV host said.

“But I thought that wasn’t fair to the owner, so I went back and bought a beautiful antique box for my glasses.

“I don’t want to say how much I paid for it. I haven’t told my wife yet!”
