A-League legend Daniel McBreen is lucky to be alive after an out-of-control truck crashed into his Tesla before destroying eighteen other cars and crashing into a primary school.
McBreen, a former Central Coast Mariners player and Network 10 football pundit, survived a terrifying incident in Moorebank, south-west of Sydney, on Saturday afternoon.
The fully loaded truck lost control at a famous intersection before crashing into nineteen cars and eventually crashing into a classroom at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.
McBreen shared the moment he was nearly wiped out by the truck, which sent vehicles flying before hitting his car.
“Today is an interesting day,” he posted on X. “Thankfully we’re okay and I hope everyone else is too, but that’s our white Tesla. It was a very scary moment.”
McBreen then posted the dashcam footage from his Tesla, writing: “Dashcam. I’m only posting this because the reports are only of minor injuries. How, I don’t know.”
Emergency crews worked to free the trapped trucker after the incident.
Police will investigate whether the driver had any medical problems before the accident.

“It went off the road, crashed into the door of the local church and then ended up under a classroom at the school,” Sergeant Shaun Colls told 7News.
“Luckily, it’s the weekend (so there were no children at school),” he said.
A later police statement said: “The driver was trapped inside his cab for almost 40 minutes before Fire and Rescue NSW freed him and took him to Liverpool Hospital.”
Eight other people were also treated by paramedics at the scene, two of whom were taken to Liverpool Hospital.
No one, not even the driver, was seriously injured.

McBreen described the accident as “scary” and says he’s surprised people weren’t seriously injured.
The truck was trapped inside a school classroom, and traffic was paralyzed due to the magnitude of the accidents.
The New South Wales Fire and Rescue team attended the scene to assess the structural safety of the building.
“The truck will be towed for a mechanical check while the building is checked for structural damage,” police said.
