Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud was among a number of celebrities who participated in rapper Travis Scott’s celebrity softball game on Thursday.
Proceeds from the event at Minute Maid Park will go to a number of charitable initiatives, including Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation.
Clips on social media showed Stroud stepping up to the plate and hitting the ball deep into the outfield during the home run derby.
Bills safety Damar Hamlin also participated in the star-studded event in Houston.
Stroud was recently named NFL Rookie of the Year after leading the Texans to the playoffs after being selected with the second overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft.

Stroud was the favorite to win the award by a wide margin and won in a landslide after receiving 48 of 50 first-place votes.
The 22-year-old threw for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns, five interceptions and had a passer rating of 100.8, third-best for a rookie.
He led the league in passing yards per game (273.9) and had the best touchdown-to-interception ratio at 4.6, becoming just the third player in NFL history to finish first in both categories, joining Joe Montana. (1989) and Tom Brady (2007). .
Stroud was recently announced as the winner of this season’s NFL Rookie of the Year award.
Stroud wasn’t the only member of the Texans to take home hardware this year after teammate and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Anderson had seven sacks, 67 pressures, 22 quarterback hits, 29 tackles, including 10 for loss.
Stroud and Anderson were selected consecutively with the second and third picks in the draft and made Houston the second team in two years to have the offensive and defensive rookies of the year.
The New York Jets accomplished the same feat last season after wide receiver Garrett Wilson and cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner both took home rookie of the year awards.
