A huge fire broke out in the historic post office building in Manila last night, and the fire was brought under control, according to the Philippine police on Monday.
Firefighters said the fire started just before midnight in the basement of the five-storey building, and the fire was brought under control on Monday morning, more than seven hours after it broke out.
Officials said an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
The Central Post Building in Manila is one of the most important historical landmarks in the city, as it was built 100 years ago.
