To date, SpaceX has launched more than 4,300 Starlink satellites into low orbit. The company currently has a permit to deploy 12,000 satellites and has submitted a new application to deploy approximately 30,000 satellites.
SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Vandenberg, California. The rocket’s mission was to carry 51 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, according to a statement released by SpaceX.
After liftoff, the reusable booster rocket landed safely on a designated Naval Landing Base in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX indicated that this landing of the booster rocket in the Pacific Ocean is the third of its kind.
Meanwhile, the Falcon 9 rocket continued its journey into low Earth orbit, where it succeeded in deploying 51 satellites to expand the Starlink network, as planned, about 17.5 minutes after liftoff.

Yesterday’s launch was the 28th launch of the Falcon 9 rocket this year.
