Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton have warned fans not to watch the next season of Bridgerton with their grandparents.

Appearing on Australia’s The Sunday Project this weekend, the co-stars opened up about their love scenes in season three, where their characters Penelope and Colin explore their budding romance.

‘Oh, please don’t watch it with your grandmother!’ Nicola told the show’s host after being asked how racy those scenes get.

‘My mom saw something the other day and I skipped a considerable part. Maybe if you give them Bailey’s earlier it might be okay,” she added, laughing.

I don’t think we would see it with our grandmothers. “It’s not going to happen,” Luke interjected.

‘We don’t want to do it. We’ve seen it now and that makes us go, absolutely not!’ Nicola agreed.

‘It’s very romantic this season. It’s fun to finally develop the story. “Fans have been waiting a long time to see how their friends and lovers’ (story) develops,” Luke added.

The couple walked the red carpet at the Australian launch of Bridgerton season three in Bowral, New South Wales, on Sunday.

The Irish actress opted for a sparkly black dress as she posed alongside co-star Luke Newton in the grounds of Milton Park Country House.

The dress featured a plunging neckline that showed off plenty of bust and a flared skirt that added a romantic silhouette.

Subtle sparkles along the dress caught the light and the dress fell over the star’s shoulders, offering a hint of skin.

Luke made a stylish appearance, the affectionate couple holding hands as they posed side by side.

She opted for a beige trench coat over a semi-sheer cream shirt and wide-cut pants that matched her coat.
