Watch Angel Reese's jaw drop after WNBA press conference is interrupted by someone talking about an 'intimate relationship': 'What's going on?'

In an awkward moment during a post-match press conference, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese looked on in disbelief when an unidentified reporter was caught with a microphone on.

As a reporter asked about Reese breaking Candace Parker’s double-double record, background noise picked up an awkward conversation from someone else on the call.

A woman’s voice was heard asking, “Are we ever going to have an intimate relationship?”

Then a man’s voice interrupts and says, “My God, that’s an uncomfortable subject.”

A confused Reese says, “Excuse me,” before staff asks the reporter to repeat his question.

The man’s voice then becomes clearer and he says, “I’ve never had any interest in being intimate with anyone.”

Reese then covered her mouth in shock, while coach Teresa Weatherspoon looked confused and teammate Marina Mabrey looked stunned and then said, “I told you they were being weird about that.”

When staff finally muted all microphones on the call, Reese was seen saying, “Oooo, they’re going to fire them.”

Eventually, the problem was resolved and the reporter was able to ask the question again.

Outside of the conference call, it was an eventful night for Reese, who now holds the WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles by any player in league history with 13.

Parker’s streak lasted through the 2009 and 2010 seasons, but Reese (the No. 7 overall pick) was even better while still in his rookie year.

The former LSU star was unable to prevent the Sky from being defeated by the Storm 84-71 on Sunday night.

But Reese still had a historic performance, racking up 17 points and 14 rebounds.
