Tommy Fury appeared to make a last-ditch attempt to hold on to his relationship with fiancée Molly-Mae Hague just weeks before she revealed they had split after five years together.
Three weeks ago, Molly-Mae, 25, was stunned when her professional boxer partner, also 25, came home with a huge bouquet of red roses and lilies for her in a very public statement shared on Instagram Stories.
The former PrettyLittleThing creative director gave her fans a close-up of the surprise gift on Instagram, captioning the photo ‘1 year as fiancée (sic).’
However, on Wednesday, Molly-Mae shocked fans when she wrote a lengthy statement explaining that she and Tommy had split following months of recurring rumours.
She wrote: “Never in a million years did I think I would have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.

‘I am deeply saddened to announce that my relationship with Tommy has come to an end.
‘I will always be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no daughter, she will always be my priority.
‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the past five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it is only right to share this with you all.
‘As I try to navigate the coming days and weeks, I ask that you respect my privacy during this difficult time. I will be back when I feel it is appropriate. Molly-Mae x’.
But in July, Molly-Mae reposted a black-and-white video of the surprise engagement, writing alongside it: “Does this literally feel like last week? Time is going by so fast it’s scary.”
Tommy paid tribute to the milestone on his Instagram, with a gushing post that included a photo of the pair kissing and the caption: “Today marks one year since I popped the best question I’ve ever asked. Can’t wait to spend eternity with you. Happy anniversary babe.”
That same day, Molly shared a clip of the moment she said ‘yes’ to her boyfriend Tommy and captioned her Instagram post: ‘A year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip where the love of my life was going to ask me to marry him.’
Molly-Mae and Tommy announced their engagement with a beautiful black and white video of the proposal that took place on a picturesque cliff.
She posted a black-and-white video of the surprise engagement and wrote alongside it: “Does this literally feel like last week? Time is going by so fast it scares me.”
Tommy paid tribute to the milestone on his Instagram, with an emotional post that included a photo of the couple kissing.
Tommy surprised the influencer six months after welcoming her daughter Bambi.
The lovey-dovey posts come after months of speculation and split rumors that the couple has been denying.
In a YouTube video last month, the former Love Island star praised how “amazing” Tommy is as a father.
In the clip, Molly-Mae also insisted that he is “everything she could ever wish him to be and more.”
Speculation began after Molly-Mae failed to wish Tommy a happy birthday on social media and earlier complained of a “sex drought” during a Q&A video.
She revealed the couple had not been intimate for almost a year following the birth of their first child, who is now 18 months old.
Molly-Mae and Tommy sparked concerns about their relationship last year when she was spotted without her engagement ring several times.
Their ‘difficult time’ came after Tommy’s wild nights out in Dubai with Chris Brown left Molly-Mae ‘mortified’ by his partying behaviour – but in February she seemingly suggested Tommy’s secret hand injury is what ’caused so many problems’ within their family.
Last month, the couple also put on a loving display when they stepped out together in Manchester.
The couple looked as happy as ever, laughing as they hugged each other.
Molly-Mae looked casually chic in a burgundy cropped T-shirt, a distressed leather jacket and baggy black trousers.
Meanwhile, at his side, Tommy cut a sporty figure in a grey sweatshirt and a light blue T-shirt, paired with white Nike trainers and socks.

Despite the displays of love, the couple have been going through a difficult time and are working to put to rest the split rumors that followed Tommy’s party in Dubai with Chris Brown.
