Was double murder in Bronx revenge for drive-by shooting?

The NYPD is investigating whether a double murder in a Bronx apartment complex was a revenge attack for the drive-by recording of a father, 29, killed crossing the street with the hand of his 4-year-old daughter.

22-year-old Joel Baba and 23-year-old Eghosa Imafidon were shot and killed in the hall of 306 East 171 Street in the Bronx at around 8:00 PM Sunday evening after being ambushed and cornered by two gunmen.

A third man, 29-year-old Mohammed Baba, survived the attack after being shot in the arm.

Police are now investigating whether the murder was committed in retaliation for the murder of 29-year-old Anthony Robinson, a senior law enforcement official said. NBC New York.

Robinson was shot in the street during a drive-by recording, just four blocks away and just over two hours earlier.

This is because New York City shootings are up as much as 206 percent from the same week last year, and fears are growing that the Big Apple could go back to the high crime levels of the 1970s and 80s.
