Warrant issued for unknown suspect who beat a Maryland dad to death as he tried to protect his son

Date:

Police reportedly obtained arrest warrants for unknown suspects in the murder of 43-year-old father Christopher Wright in front of his Maryland at home, as he confronted his teenage son’s bullies head-on.

The suspects could be arrested and charged at some point this week, a source told the New York Post.

Another source close to the investigation said authorities were reluctant to charge the suspects because the father-of-three had thrown the first punch.

The names of the suspects, or the number of suspects likely to be charged, have not been released.

Disturbing videos have captured the brutal incident in May which shows Wright being thrown to the ground and repeatedly punched in the head – causing fatal brain damage – as his son Trenton, 14, looks on helplessly.

Anne Arundel County Police said earlier this week that no arrests have been made, although reports indicate Wright’s family has identified some of those involved.

Tracy Karopchinsky, Wright’s fiancée, said the fight took place on May 19 when students from the same middle school as their 14-year-old son, Trenton, came to fight him for $30.

She said three teenagers and two adults appeared at their house, and one of the adults said if Trenton didn’t fight, his dad should.

Disturbing videos showed Wright being thrown body to the ground and repeatedly punched in the head as his son watched helplessly.

He suffered head trauma and died a day later.

In a clip of the attack, the assailants encounter the father at a standoff – as Wright, wearing a white t-shirt, is seen talking and pointing to his left.

Wright exchanged words with the group on his lawn before punching a man in a black t-shirt.

The father then retreated and headed for his house as the swarm of assailants advanced and began beating him.

Seconds later, the man in the black t-shirt knocked Wright to the ground between two vehicles and launched a tirade of punches at his head as he stood motionless in the road.

Tracy Karopchinsky, Wright's fiancée, said the fight took place when students from the same middle school as their 14-year-old son, Trenton, sought to fight him for more than $30.

Another fight broke out on the sidewalk but the identity of these people remains unclear.

It wasn’t until another person checked on Wright – who was still lying unconscious on the tarmac – that the group realized he wasn’t moving.

They were then seen scattering, as someone shouted in the background and another repeatedly shouted, “What the f**k is.”

Two other people in the group went to check on Wright again, apparently examining his head, before the others returned to their vehicle and fled the scene.

The attackers told her 12-year-old younger son who watched the ordeal: “I’m sorry, call 911,” DailyMail.com previously revealed.

Photos revealed remnants of Wright’s blood still stained the floor outside the family home despite neighbors’ efforts to clean it up before Kaporchinsky returned from work.

Karopchinsky didn’t seem surprised when she viewed the footage, with police already knowing that Wright had thrown the first punch.

However, she insists that if the attackers had not come to their home looking for trouble, the tragic incident would never have happened.

“It was never a secret Chris threw the first punch. Homicide detectives knew Chris threw the first punch,’ she said The New York Post. ‘Whether [Wright’s killers] didn’t come to our house to fight, that would never have happened.

She also told how her three boys went to say goodbye to her in the hospital while he was in a coma.

“I told the boys we had to go to the hospital,” she said The post office. “I let the boys come in, talk to her and tell her they loved her. He had no brain function at that time.

“I just wanted the boys to be able to talk to him, tell him they loved him and would see him later. It was hard.

“I slept with my fiancée all day Saturday and held her hands,” she said.

Karopchinsky was at work when the fight took place. His neighbor called his manager to let him know what had happened.

“I came on the phone and she said, ‘Chris fought, he got beaten, it was really bad,'” she said. “I was having a sort of panic attack, I couldn’t breathe. I was terrified.’

“The operation lasted about three and a half hours. By the time I was taken to his house, his severe brain injury had turned into a catastrophic brain injury,' Karopchinsky said.

Wright was taken to hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery.

“He had severe brain damage,” Karopchinsky explained. “The operation lasted about three and a half hours. By the time I was taken to his home, his severe brain injury had turned into a catastrophic brain injury.

“After the operation they were doing constant CT scans and they had stopped bleeding in the brain, but then they saw that he had had a stroke and he had brainstem bleeding against which they could not. do nothing.”

“I went home to talk to the boys. I told them, “It’s very bad. The teenagers didn’t really understand what “very bad” meant.

Chris, who was the father of Tryston, Trenton and Tevin, has already been cremated and the family plans to celebrate his life at a memorial on June 11.

Neighbor Richard Balsamo, 58, said: “Chris was a good guy. He didn’t bother anyone. He stayed on his porch, he took care of his garden, he took care of his children. For someone to come here and take him away from his girlfriend and his kids is ridiculous and wrong and something has to be done.

“It shocked the neighborhood. He is a very good guy and very good with his children.

A GoFundMe was set up by his sister-in-law Kristin Karopchinsky who explained that Wright had come out to defend her son Trenton who had been threatened.

Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Marc Limansky said, “Anyone who aided or was an accomplice to the prime suspect or suspect will be guilty.”
