Walker, the series starring Jared Padalecki, has been canceled after four seasons on The CW.
News about the action drama show’s cancellation was revealed on Tuesday and it was also announced that the show would end its fourth set of episodes next month.
Representatives from The CW issued a statement confirming the news of the show’s demise and expressing gratitude for the efforts of the show’s cast and crew.
they stated via The Hollywood Reporter: “We want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons,” they said.
The statement continued: “We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for more than 20 years and was an integral part of some of the network’s biggest hits.”

Padalecki, 41, also confirmed the news by sharing a photo on his Instagram account, in which he wears one of Cordell Walker’s hats.
The Supernatural star went on to write a lengthy statement in which he shared his gratitude for the support the show’s fans showed him during the series’ run.
“It’s difficult news, for sure, but we are SO grateful for the #WalkerFamily that has been built, both on and off set,” she wrote.
The performer then added that he, as well as the other members of the show’s cast and crew, would be “forever grateful” for the “love” they received from the show’s fan base.
‘It has been a unique honor to be part of the cast and crew (and fandom!) that helped #Walker tell the stories we tell. “I will always smile for the years I spent with the cast, crew, studio, network and fandom that made all of this possible,” he wrote.
Walker served as a reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger, which starred Chuck Norris and aired from 1993 to 2001.
The show focused on a Texas Ranger and widower who returned to his hometown of Austin to continue his career in law enforcement.
In addition to Padalecki, the show’s cast included Lindsey Morgan, Odette Annabelle and Mitch Pileggi.

Negotiations for a possible fifth season of the show were underway, although they ultimately fell through.
A spin-off series titled Walker: Independence, which served as a prequel to the main series, aired for a single season between 2022 and 2023.
