A disgruntled waitress who received a one-star review from a family who accused her of treating them like “rubbish” turned their complaint into a hilarious joke.
Daniella Claeys, who works in a restaurant in London, decided to print the family’s review, which promises they will never return to the establishment, on a white T-shirt, which soon became part of her work attire.
While the 24-year-old, identified as Dani in the scathing review, said wales online that she was “openly uncomfortable” by the “disturbance” caused by the family’s “screaming toddler,” it wasn’t until she saw the review the next day that she realized how angry the mother was.
Daniella, from Tottenham, London, admitted the comments made in the November 2023 review had upset her, but said she soon saw the funny side of the situation and decided to order the £20 shirt.
Wearing the top to work, Daniella shared a clip of herself with the negative review emblazoned across her chest on TikTok, which has now attracted 2.9 million views.

Daniella, who has been working as a waitress for 12 years, captioned the clip ‘You’ve been served’.
The clip, titled “You’ve been served xx,” shows a laughing Daniella holding a tray in her hands as text on the screen reads: “When you get a one-star review for being a bad waitress, do better.” of it’.
The full review printed on the t-shirt reads: ‘We will never go back!!! At this restaurant the staff made us feel so uncomfortable that a waitress named Dani suggested to the manager that they sit us outside in the cold when our baby was crying because she had a headache, she didn’t bother to hide her discomfort and looked at us as if we were trash. Obviously we left the restaurant immediately. There is not a very family atmosphere, don’t bother going with children.
The family had given a one-star rating for each of four categories: “likely to recommend”, “atmosphere”, “food and drink” and “value for money”.
Reflecting on his behavior, which had so outraged critics, he told Wales Online that he is “on duty for 14 hours a day” and therefore admits that the “chance of me getting something wrong is quite high.” .
Many TikTokers were delighted with her bold response to the harsh comments, calling them “the best,” while others sided with the family.
Daniella, who has been working as a waitress for 12 years, said: “I was very angry at the time. “I never want anyone to feel uncomfortable.
‘But then I sent it to everyone I knew and put it on my Instagram. Everyone thought it was very funny. I turned it into a t-shirt because I just wanted to laugh about it. “I know I shouldn’t have reacted so much, but on a t-shirt it’s fucking funny.”
Daniella printed the full review on the t-shirt, including one-star ratings for each of the four categories: “likely to recommend,” “atmosphere,” “food and drink,” and “value for money.”
TikTokers were quick to praise Daneilla’s bold response in the comments section below her post.
A fellow TikToker commented on Daniella’s post: ‘Our generation isn’t that serious and I love it!! I hope they see this tiktok’.
A second added: “I need a close up, it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen.”
Others chimed in with similar experiences, with one commenting, “I received a survey calling me a ‘feminine waste of space,’ so I turned it into an inspirational typography poster and kept it on my desk.”
