Police are searching for a man in his 30s who indecently assaulted a woman in her 20s at 4.50pm on August 7.

An urgent search is underway for a worker who assaulted a young woman at a bus stop.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, approached the woman in her 20s at bus stop 17254 Read Street in Waikiki, on the southern outskirts of Perth, at about 4.50pm on August 7.

Police said the pair exchanged a brief conversation before the man indecently assaulted her.

Rockingham detectives have released a grainy dashcam image of the man in the hope people can recognise him.

He was described as 1.70 metres tall, with a medium build and dark complexion.

He was wearing a high-visibility yellow jacket, a brown hat, black trousers and black shoes.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to call Crime prevention agents.
