A police officer fights for his life after being hit and dragged by a car after trying to arrest three people in Western Australia

A Western Australian police officer is fighting for his life after being hit by a car and dragged across a road.
The policeman had tried to pull over the vehicle that allegedly stole number plates in Ascot, in eastern Perth, around 1am on Thursday.
When he tried to detain the three people inside, the officer was beaten and dragged under the car.
He was resuscitated at the scene and was rushed to hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Three people have been arrested and are assisting the police in the investigation.
