Dozens of teenagers were seen throwing punches outside a Las Vegas casino as part of a massive brawl believed to have been organized on social media.

The melee began at the intersection of West Lone Mountain Road and Rancho Drive on the night of March 9.

Posts advertising a ‘Santa Fe Station Shutdown’ event circulated online before the violence erupted, calling for teenagers to meet at the Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino.

The teenagers initially tried to enter the casino but were turned away by security.

It’s unclear what sparked the fight, but a series of videos posted on social media show teenagers chasing each other down a sidewalk while throwing punches.

The fight subsequently spilled over into the street, where young people pushed each other and landed blows, while others stood and filmed.

Local business owners told KSNV they had to lock their doors out of concern for the safety of their employees.

In one clip, a police cruiser could be seen sitting at a nearby gas station with its lights flashing.

“The cops were already here parked in this parking lot … and there were some right here, but they just had their lights flashing without the siren, but they were just parked,” witness Corinne Enochs told KSNV.

No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.

The fight was reminiscent of a similar incident last December in Downtown Summerlin, where hordes of teenagers gathered outside a mall before violence erupted.

They were called to the area by a flashy Instagram post advertising a ‘Downtown Summerlin Shutdown’.

The post encouraged potential contestants to ‘dress to impress’ and ‘come trip because we trip harder’.

It instructed teenagers to turn up at 4pm and stay until they were kicked out.

A group of about 150 people organized in the mall before police ordered them to disperse. Some youths were seen fighting with officers.

At least five youths were charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.
