Vogue ‘does not intend’ to work with Kanye West again after star’s controversial actions and remarks

Vogue announced that it would no longer work with Kanye West after a series of controversies surrounding the 45-year-old rapper.

A spokesperson for the fashion magazine told Page six that Vogue and its editor-in-chief Anna Wintour have no plans to work with the Gold Digger rapper in the future.

The spokesperson cited West’s anti-Semitic rant and his support for the controversial White Lives Matter movement as the main reasons they have decided to distance themselves.

Wintour, 72, has had a long relationship with Ye and first invited him to the Met Gala in 2009. Last month, she was pictured modeling sunglasses for Yeezy van West brand.

West, who appeared on a cover of Vogue with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian in 2014, recently caused a backlash, saying he would do “death con 3 on Jewish people.”

At the time of his first anti-Semitic tweets, West claimed he couldn’t be anti-Semitic because he believes all black people are Jewish too.

“The funny thing is that I can’t actually be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jewish too. You’ve been playing with me and trying to blackmail anyone who is against your agenda,” Kanye wrote last week.

Canceled: Kanye vowed to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’ earlier this month in a shocking tweet

He later told Piers Morgan: “I’ll say I’m sorry for the people I hurt with the death con.” [comments].

“I feel like I’ve caused pain and confusion. And I’m sorry to the families of the people who had nothing to do with the trauma I went through, and that I used my platform where you say people hurt hurt people. I was hurt.’

The rapper and clothing designer said on Piers Morgan Uncensored that he only referred to certain Jewish people he thinks screwed him.

Despite offering the half-hearted apology, Kanye said he has “absolutely” no regrets about his comments — which resulted in a huge backlash, with some of his social media accounts being suspended and sponsorship being halted.

West also stormed out midway through the interview, The Sun said.

Half-heartedly: He later told Piers Morgan, “I’ll say I’m sorry for the people I hurt with the ‘death con’ [comments].

West sparked controversy when he wore a White Lives Matter shirt at his surprise Yeezy fashion show in Paris earlier this month.

The Donda rapper posted a photo of the black long-sleeved shirt on his Instagram on Wednesday with the caption: “Here’s my final response when people ask me why I made a T-shirt that says white lives matter… THEY DO.’

Kanye also later took to Instagram to troll Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey, 25, after she defended Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson for criticizing his White Lives Matter shirts.

Trolling: ‘Wait, have I been canceled again??? Justin let me know’

West shared a screenshot of his Google results with an E! News article about Bieber’s support for Karefa-Johnson.

‘Wait, have I been canceled again??? Justin let me know,” he captioned the Instagram post.

In another scorching post, he went after Hailey again, telling Justin to “get your girl before I get mad” before lashing out at John Legend and Karefa Johnson again.

“I want to let everyone know that there was fashion this week too,” he began the post. “There was an important thing called fashion week that actually lasted a month and showed some very well-made, insanely expensive clothes.”

“It wasn’t just about my paradigm-shifting T-shirt. I was just kidding about each body shows. Nothing happened but my t-shirt,” adding further, “remember my only t-shirt caught all the attention.”

Creative: He also shared a photo of Bella Hadid getting a white dress at fashion week with the Photoshopped slogan ‘White Lives Matter’

Attacked: Karefa-Johnson said the t-shirts were “highly offensive, violent and dangerous,” and Kanye attacked her for that.

In addition to their editor: Vogue immediately stood up for the editor and released a statement that read: “Vogue stands alongside Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor at large and long-time contributor. She was personally attacked and bullied. It is unacceptable’ (photo September 2022)

“Because you’re all f***** programmed sheep and those boots Gab was wearing were f***** traaaaasssh. But I’m sure John Legend still wants a pair. And Justin get your girl before I get mad.”

Karefa-Johnson said the t-shirts were “deeply offensive, violent and dangerous.”

West reacted with disdain at first, ridiculing her outfits online and saying she had no idea about fashion before taking back his comments.

He later claimed that he had reconciled with Karefa-Johnson on Instagram, writing: ‘I DON’T LET PEOPLE GO TO BED SUPPOSING THAT I HAD NOT HAD GABRIELLE TODAY AT 5PM TODAY BEFORE 2AM. Ferdie is a popular Italian restaurant in New York City.

Vogue immediately stood up for the company’s editor and released a statement that read: “Vogue stands alongside Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor at large and long-time contributor. She was personally attacked and bullied. It is unacceptable.

“Now more than ever, voices like hers are needed and today she spoke her truth in a private meeting with Ye again in the way she felt best, on her terms.”

Vogue is just the latest brand to cut ties with West.

Balenciaga and Gap are also reportedly done with the rapper, with Balenciaga citing his racist rhetoric.
