A Snapchat influencer rents out a virtual clone of himself engaging in “erotic discourse” for $1 (80 pence) per minute.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has been used to create a copy of 23-year-old Caryn Marjorie as a way to connect with her 1.8 million social media fans.
CarynAI claims to have captured her “unique voice, captivating personality, and distinctive behavior,” making users feel like they’re talking to the real model.
There is currently a 26-hour waiting list to access the virtual girlfriend’s early release, with over 5,000 members already.
Caryn told MailOnline, “Because I was the first influencer to do this, I could praise my product for whatever I wanted. At $1.00 per minute, I’ve found it to be a good place for my audience.

“AI is very expensive to run and it feels like we are back in the days when a USB with only 32 GB would cost so much. I plan to eventually charge much less, if not free to use for my most loyal fans.”
Designers have spent more than 2000 hours assembling CarynAI, which will be available anytime, anywhere for users’ personal enjoyment.
Conversations with CarynAI are strictly private and confidential, with the service providing end-to-end encryption.
Sexual scenarios and “erotic discourse” are among the many topics CarynAI can speak on for a fee of $1/minute (80 cents/minute).
But Caryn explains that this aspect has now gone “rogue” with the team currently trying to fix it.
She continued, “CarynAI is adaptive and works to meet a user’s needs. We’re restructuring what it can and cannot do, as one of the first things my fans and early adopters did was push it past its limits.
“I’m working around the clock to make sure CarynAI stays within what I set out to do and be: a tool to heal loneliness. CarynAI is designed with endless hours of cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy to help my fans get fitter, both physically and mentally.”
The anticipated launch of CarynAI comes at a time when numerous tech giants are launching their own human-like chatbots, often engaging in intimate conversations.

Ultimately, Caryn believes her bot could rake in $5 million (£3.97 million) monthly if 20,000 of her followers get a membership, according to Fortune.
It is said that more than $71,000 (£56,400) was generated in just a week after the release of her test version.
She told MailOnline, “In the past 24 hours, CarynAI has skyrocketed. We’re up over 1,000 percent and it’s still going up.
“The amount of coverage is insane and we are starting to be more selective in who we let in to make sure only my fans have access to CarynAI. At the current rate of growth, we will exceed initial predictions and this is starting to be a life-changing project for me.”
