Virginia police are looking for a woman who dumped a bloodied backpack containing human remains into a retail container on Monday.
A shop assistant on Hull Street Road called police about an unknown woman who entered the shop and threw the bloodied backpack into the dumpster.
Chesterfield Police officers responded and found human remains in the bag.
Police declined to identify the store, but the location is a small shopping center that houses a Food Lion, barbershop, spa and more.
The woman was spotted entering the store on Hull Street Road, in Chesterfield, Virginia
Surveillance video captured the moment the woman entered the store shortly after dumping the bag.
Crime Insider sources told: WTVR that the human remains may be from a baby’s body, but officials are still awaiting results from the medical examiner’s office.
The bloody backpack also had identifiers that could lead investigators to a local high school, WTVR reported.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police immediately as they believe the woman depicted, or anyone else, needs medical attention in connection with the incident.
