Residents of the city of Cuernavaca, in south-central Mexico, claimed to have recorded the moment a UFO appeared floating near a gas station in broad daylight.

Viewers were left wondering after an apparent UFO was seen hovering over Cuernavaca, a city in the state of Morelos in south-central Mexico.

In a viral video, a flying saucer is seen in a fixed position in the sky while passersby at a gas station focus their mobile phone cameras on it.

‘This is here on Avenida Teopanzolco, corner with Plan de Ayala’, one of the stunned witnesses can be heard saying in the clip ‘It’s not just me, there are several people who are watching it. In other words, that’s how the object is suspended there.’

Some social media users questioned the veracity of the site.

“The camera and recording suck, that’s why they don’t believe them and even make fun of them,” one person wrote. ‘Everything that is blurred is not clear. They even record in 4K on their damn phones and put that out.

‘It’s fake because it swings as if the wind is moving it,’ another social media user commented. ‘How long did it last from then on? Where did he go?

“They saw how unsafe the city was and decided to go somewhere else,” another joked. ‘Aliens, Morelos is not safe!!’

While one person claimed it may have been a drone, another recalled seeing the same images six years ago, adding that the object’s appearance was never verified.

Social media users seemed divided over whether it was a UFO.

The sighting comes just a month after viral video filmed by Eduardo Chávez showed what appeared to be UFOs hovering near his tire repair business in the western municipality of Guadalajara.

“When I saw it I was impressed but as the minutes went by I saw it normal and that’s when I made the video,” Chávez told DailyMail.com at the time.

But some TikTokers thought the video was a clever way to promote their small business.

“People studied Marketing for years and this guy blew them away,” one person joked.

‘Are you aware that if the UFO is real, it could possibly make an unbeatable commercial?’ another commented.
