- A woman warned against wearing a claw clip in your hair while driving
- The clip can be embedded in the skull after an accident and it is safest to use a hair tie
A woman shared a warning after learning why you shouldn’t wear a claw clamp while driving.
The habit can be deadly in the event of an accident, as there is a risk of the pointy clip lodged in your skull.
“Here’s your daily reminder to get your claw clamps out of girls before you drive because apparently if you get into a car accident you’ll get speared,” the woman said.

“Girls have died from wearing their hair clips because when you get into a car accident and you hit your head back, this goes into your skull,” she said, pointing to the claws on the clip.
In 2011, a five-year-old girl Reportedly fell and suffered brain damage after the claws of her hair clip became embedded in her skull.
Scientists began issuing warnings against the claw clamp at this point, as they risk fatally escalating what could otherwise be a treatable accident or accident.
The clips are used to keep the hair off the face, or as an alternative to a hair tie, they are usually located at the back of the head.
If the driver comes to a sudden stop or has an accident, the clip can hit the headrest of the approx.
Student nurse Natalie Kate previously repeated the warning to all “claw clamp girls” after receiving a harrowing warning from a doctor she worked with.
The doctor advised her against ever wearing a clip while driving, as he had seen girls with the clip impaled in their skin.
“I’ll never wear that while driving again,” Natalie said.
Young women advise other claw clip users to try a headband or hair tie or simply let their hair down the next time they go out for a ride.
Amrita Pandya, a journalist for Women planetalso spreads the message about the danger of hair clips.
She explained that while walking on the sidewalk she was hit by a cyclist and fell backwards, hitting her head against the clip she was wearing and crashing into the sidewalk.
“The only reason for my serious injury was my hair accessory (Jaw Clip). I had wrapped my hair in a jaw clip. Because my jaw clamp was brittle and made of plastic, it broke into pieces and a small piece of the same jaw clamp broke in my head,” she explained.
The plastic embedded in her head rendered her unconscious for five minutes, resulting in prolonged blurred vision and dizziness.
People were shocked after receiving the warning.
‘Oh my! I wear them every day,” said one woman.
“This will make me adjust my whole life,” another agreed.
“This actually happened to my mom when she had an accident. They had to pull it out and shave her head because it was so mutilated,” one woman confessed.
