French pole vaulting sensation Anthony Ammirati appeared to poke fun at his viral Olympic moment, after a certain appendage prevented him from winning a medal at Paris 2024.
The 21-year-old was seen making light of the situation in a since-deleted TikTok video, a couple of days after his manhood grazed the crossbar during his semi-final.
“POV: You generate more anticipation for your presentation than for your performances,” read the video’s title, according to a Google translation from French to English.
It is unclear who originally posted the clip, as Ammirati does not appear to have an account on the video-sharing platform.
The Frenchman was eating in what looked like a cafeteria in the Olympic Village, while staring into the camera.

Ammirati suffered an unfortunate mishap before finishing 12th in Paris on Saturday.
Ammirati looked set to clear 5.70m until a part of his body prevented him from doing so during his third attempt on Saturday, leaving spectators in hysterics.
“It’s a big disappointment,” Ammirati said. French Athletics Federation after the viral moment.
“I’m a little disappointed because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a little bit in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session,” he added.

“Bad luck, but also good flexibility,” added another.
Ammirati eventually finished in 12th place with a height of 5.60 in Group A.
