A young man has shared the horrifying moment his nose started oozing fluid after a popular “liquid rhinoplasty” procedure.

Oliver Davis, 19, spent £160 on the injectable treatment, which typically lasts between a year and 18 months and involves placing filler into the nose to manipulate the shape.

Oliver had sought treatment to make the tip of his nose more defined.

But a week after undergoing the procedure, her face began to ooze fluid. Even though she expected to feel some pain and swelling, she knew something was terribly wrong.

“I was so bewildered and confused when I felt that wet drop on my hand,” said Oliver, from Northamptonshire.

‘It was a pink, red, jelly-like substance, and I looked around in confusion before opening my front camera and seeing the filler dripping onto my lip.

‘My injector initially said the cause was probably a superficial filling that had started to rise.’

Oliver said he had already consulted his injector for advice when he realized the pain wasn’t going away as quickly as he had hoped.

She advised him to apply a warm compress every night for seven days.

But the next night, what Oliver suspected was filler began to drip from his face.

Finally, the injector suggested that he might have an infection.

Oliver said: “If it hadn’t gone so drastically wrong I wouldn’t have known I had a bacterial infection, plus necrosis (death of body tissue) has started to occur.”

After learning that fluid was oozing from the treated area, she contacted her doctor, but the infection eventually resolved on its own.

Oliver also visited a beautician who dissolved the filler, which helped alleviate the infection.

She has shared videos documenting her experience online, with one garnering more than three million views.

One woman commented: “This happened to me!!! I just squeezed it all in and hoped for the best.”

Another person wrote: “I’m never getting any fillers. Hope you’re okay!” While a woman named Pamela added: “This happened to my lip.”

A particularly popular procedure is the so-called Tinkerbell tip lift, which involves lifting the tip of the nose with filler.

On TikTok, clips showing patients’ “tip lift” transformations have racked up a total of 1.3 billion views.
