  • Mosa Jamal Abid, 26, ran off at 3pm on Uxbridge Road, in Ealing, on Monday
  • In June 2017, he was sentenced to an indefinite detention order

Officers are on the hunt for information on the whereabouts of a violent prisoner who has fled a secure hospital for the second time.

Mosa Jamal Abid, 26, was on an escorted trip to a kiosk on Uxbridge Road, in Ealing, west London, when he ran off at about 3 p.m. Monday.

It is believed he fled east along Uxbridge Road before possibly entering Brent Lodge Park. The area was searched, but he was not found.

Extensive camera investigation is underway and officers continue to search the area. Police warn that Mosa can be violent and, if seen, should not be approached by the public.

This is the second time he has escaped after fleeing Homerton Hospital earlier in 2019.

Mosa Jamal Abid, 26, was on an escorted trip to a newsagent in Uxbridge Road, in Ealing, west London, when he took off at around 3pm on Monday.

Mosa Abid was sentenced to indefinite detention in June 2017 after pleading guilty to the murder of his friend Moamen Settar after vowing to do so in a letter to Satan.

Abid went to Mr Settar’s home in Wembley, north London, on October 15, 2017, and took a large knife from the kitchen before stabbing him repeatedly.

The victim’s younger sisters, aged 9 and 15, heard screams from their brother’s bedroom before Abid laughed and left the house with the knife hidden behind his back.

Abid then went to his father’s flat to change into a new shirt, before being found on a sofa by police the following morning, ITV reported.

When the police raided his home, they found documents and devil worship and the Illuminati, including the letter to Satan.

He needs medicine for a health condition and can go to a hospital for help. It is also possible that he approaches local mosques for food or drink during the Iftar period.

The police maintains contacts with hospitals and mosques to keep them informed.

The 26-year-old was last seen wearing a navy blue hooded jacket, black pants and blue sneakers.
