Vinicius lamenta hablar de ‘racismo’ en cada entrevista

MADRID — Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr lamented that “racism” continues to be one of the current issues in football, but confessed that little by little it was solved by highlighting LaLiga’s measures, while announcing a family project in Brazil to help children who suffer from racism.

“It is always difficult to talk about racism, but with each passing day we go a little further in the direction to have to talk less about it,” he said in statements to the media.

The Madrid player is summoned by his team, after the World Cup in Qatar, for a friendly against Morocco on Saturday. “I am with my family thinking about a project to help children in Brazil who suffer from racism”, revealed the Brazilian.

Precisely, LaLiga reported this Thursday that it has denounced in the Investigating Courts of Barcelona the racist insults that the Real Madrid player received in the Clásico last Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou against FC Barcelona (2-1). A new episode like those suffered by Vinicius against Mallorca, Valladolid and Atlético de Madrid.

“In each interview I have to talk about racism, but there is less and less, the world is getting better and better. I am happy that LaLiga is doing things to improve and punish the people in the stadiums”, pointed out the Brazilian.

Citing the interview, LaLiga itself responded to the Real Madrid player. “That’s right, Vin. LaLiga and the clubs continue working to put an end to this scourge. We are all united against racism”, wrote the LaLiga Twitter account.

To speed up the identification of those who caused the insults, the employers’ association has set up a complaints channel on its website so that fans who may have information or some indication of the identity of those responsible can contact LaLiga and facilitate the necessary identification to file the pertinent complaints.
