ORMOC CITY – A candidate for barangay councilor was shot by motorcycle-riding assailants along the national highway in Barangay Casab-ahan, Gandara City, Samar on Friday, October 6.
Roldan Pesidas, 43, supervisor of Achiever Security Agency Philippines, was riding his motorcycle around 3 p.m. when the perpetrators on board their motorcycle suddenly shot at him.
The victim had gunshot wounds to his body.
According to witnesses, the suspects fled towards Catbalogan City.
Police investigators said Pesidas was running for councilor in Barangay Canhawan Gote, Catbalogan City, Samar.
Gandara police are conducting investigation to identify the suspects and motive behind the murder.
